Label Anushree, a label by designer Anushree Brahmbhatt, fuses with Indian by mixing a variety of textiles and prints. Her work consists of maxi dresses and easy separates. They’re simple, subtle and yet stand out with ease in a crowd.
Label Anushree is a luxury brand started 2 years ago. With her personal interest in fashion entrepreneurship and Indian textile, she decided to mix the two and start her own Label. They work with artisans across the country and contemporize their craft into ready to wear clothing. The collection is available in store in Mumbai and various designer stores across the country.
Becoming an entrepreneur is very difficult. But what pushed her was her passion for work and her supportive parents. We all have dreams when we were kids but never came through with that. Anushree here actually fulfilled her childhood dream. Her job today gives her creative satisfaction. In the beginning, she was a little tied up between being completely creative and commercially viable. It’s important to figure out the balance between the two. And that comes with time. Once you figure your language, the direction is clear. She did face a few disappointments. This made her more focused and ambitious.
In all the ups and downs her parents have been the guiding light. They advised her emotionally, technically, practically and in every way possible. Also, a lot of aspiring women like Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Dia Mirza to name a few wore her clothes. This really motivated Anushree to keep going.
Currently, she working on her festive line. A collection for the Elle Graduates is a work in progress. Her goal is to extend the collection to stores globally.
She advises everyone to always choose to do what you have a genuine interest in. There’s nothing better than that! And no matter where you’re working it’s very important to have your own voice. Self-doubt is your biggest enemy!
